The following benefit programs are available for student and temporary employees:

Community Health Charities – Contributions can be made through payroll deduction for the Community Health Charities program. Visit their website at http://www.chcksmo.org/ for additional information.

Deferred Compensation – a State of Kansas 457 retirement plan administered by ING. Contact and enrollment information. Call 1-800-232-0024 for additional information or visit the web site at:

Learning Quest – an 529 Education Savings Program established by the State of Kansas and managed by American Century ® Investment Management as an investment vehicle for college education. Contact and enrollment information can be found at:

Organizational Dues – if you elect to participate in any of the organizations approved for Payroll deduction by the State of Kansas, the organization will forward to Benefits your completed enrollment form authorizing paycheck deduction.

United Way – contact the Douglas County United Way Office at 843-6626 for additional information.

If you elect to participate in any of these voluntary programs, you will need to inform the Benefits Office when you are terminating employment to ensure that the deductions are cancelled timely and are not-restarted if you resume employment at a later date.
