Introduction to Project Management
A project is defined by the Project Management Institute as "a temporary endeavor undertaken to achieve a particular aim." Our worklife is full of projects. This workshop provides an overview of project management processes, tools, and techniques that enable an individual or small group to plan, monitor, and complete projects. Among the topics covered are: organizing a project; determining desired outcomes and deliverables; assigning responsibility; assessing and identifying necessary resources (staff, time, money); balancing competing demands; scheduling and sequencing activities; monitoring and controlling the process; and completing the project.
