
A comprehensive program to help supervisors develop essential skills in leadership and motivation, managing change, communication, conflict management, the hiring process, the disciplinary action process, employee performance, and stress and time management. The course is required for new university support staff (USS) supervisors and offered on a space-available basis to other USS supervisors, unclassified supervisors, and those anticipating a future supervisory role.
STEP training is typically held once a week for seven weeks. Class begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at varying times, for a total of 40 hours.
