Best Practices Tools
This workshop provides an overview of the concepts of benchmarking and best practices, and how they are used in many organizations to jump start new projects and/or to facilitate continuous improvement in work processes, products and services. A focus on benchmarking (comparing your activities to those of comparable organizations) and best practices (effective techniques and technologies used by those organizations) helps ensure that KU departments and units meet or exceed customer expectations and capitalize upon opportunities for improvement. The workshop covers various tools that make it relatively easy to discover best practices in many fields of endeavor, and includes computer time applying those tools to the participant's topic of interest.
